William Pulliam, 73, of Clarksburg-Sardis area, passed away at United Hospital Center on Saturday, March 22, 2008 following a brief illness. Mr. Pulliam was born September 19, 1934, at home on Little Indian Run, Oakdale, WV, a son of the late Cecil Oren Pulliam and Susan Canter Robinson Pulliam. He was preceded in death by Lorraine Elizabeth Pulliam, his loving wife of forty years. He is survived by one son, William C. Pulliam, Jr. and wife Judith of Beltsville, MD.; one daughter, Pamela Jean Aguilar and husband Hector of Havelock, NC; three grandchildren, Leslie Marie Pulliam Recabarren of Wheaton MD, Jessica Beruner and husband Chester of Shawl AFB, Sumpter, SC, and Hector Aguilar, Jr. of Havelock, NC. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Pulliam was preceded in death by brothers, Denzil Robinson, Roscoe Robinson, Frank Robinson, Paul Pulliam, Freeman Pulliam and Henry Pulliam. Mr. Pulliam was survived by three sisters Ruby Pulliam Thorp of Clarksburg, Margaret Pulliam Stadwick of Dola, and Emzie Pulliam Lyons Eshelman of Warren Ohio; and one brother Herman Pulliam of Warren, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Bill made his home with long time friend and companion, Dorothy Rhoads. Bill was a plumber by trade, working for many years in Washington, DC. He was protestant by faith. He was loved by all his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
