William “Bill” Opha Shahan, 66 of Fellowsville, Marquess Rd. departed this life on April 11, 2016. He was born on October 2, 1949 at Mount Israel Community, son of the late Corder and Wilma Ann Shahan. Bill graduated from Fellowsville High School Class of 1967. He worked at Kinney Shoe Factory and a Custodian at the Preston County School. Little Bill had many cell phone buddies with whom he talked daily. He loved his mountain home and his way of life. Bill is survived by one daughter, Jessie Ridenour and two grandchildren, Tiffany and John Ridenour, Rankin Road; Fellowsville, daughter-in-law, Stacie Shahan and granddaughter, Kristie Shahan, Winchester, VA; and his beloved sister, Harriet P Shahan; Tibbs Run Road, Fellowsville. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one son, Jason Shahan, his grandparents, Opha and Nellie Knotts Shahan and Willie and Rachael Sigley Shahan and his beloved dogs, Corky and Lucky whom passed with him. A very special thank you to the Preston County Animal Shelter for being so caring and kind with taking care of the dogs while Bill was in the hospital. Also a special thank you to the Fellowsville VFD, Fellowsville Ambulance, 911 Center, and all the community who helped out in so many ways.
