William W. “Bill” Milnes, 84, of Moberly, died Monday, December 12, 2016 at Boone Hospital. He was born November 1, 1932 in Clark, MO to John H. and Goldie (Price) Milnes.

Prior to retirement Bill had owned and operated Southside Furniture Exchange, before opening the store he had been employed with F.M. Stamper Mill and an over the road truck driver for Banquet Foods. He was also a graduate of the Missouri Auctioneer School.

Bill was an active member of the First Baptist Church where he had served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union and the Moberly Masonic Lodge.

Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing at various courses and was a charter member of the former Timberlake Golf Course. He also loved fishing, hunting with his bird dogs, music and playing his wash tub bass.

He married Margie White on February 22, 1956 and she preceded him in death August 3, 1997. Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his children; Beth Pitney and husband Tim and Lori Trusty and husband Keith all of Moberly, five grandchildren; Nicholas Heckes and wife Pam, Katie Robb and husband Derek, Noah Pitney, Aaron Trusty and wife Erica and Jessica Gross and husband Andre, seven great-grandchildren, a brother John H. Milnes, Jr. and wife Joan, a sister, Betty Colley all of Moberly, longtime special friend Joann Roberts of Centralia, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
