William (Bill) Michael Hood 58 of Franktown, Colorado died on April 4th, 2018.

 Bill was born in Saginaw, Michigan December 30th, 1959 and lived most of his childhood in southern Michigan. His family moved to Missouri and he graduated from Raytown South High School in Raytown. Then went to college at the University of Colorado at Denver graduating in 1983 with a BS in Marketing and Organizational Management.

 He is survived by his wife Robin (Holcombe) Hood and daughter Rachel, mother Rita Hood, father George Hood, sisters Barbara Simpson and Patti Portugal and 4 nieces, 5 nephews and 2 great nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Karen Hood and Lori Garner.  

 Bill was a hunter and fisherman in his youth and became an avid hiker and backpacker during his 39 years in Colorado, exploring the Rocky Mountains with Robin, Rachel, nieces, nephews and friends. He wrote a book published by Rauu Press in 2008 entitled “Searching for a Perfect State of Colorado: An Enlightening Experience Crossing the Weminuche Wilderness Area”. It described an extraordinarily challenging 100-mile hike he took and the insights it inspired. He concluded “that the most precious thing to me in my life was the love of my family”. We will all remember those special times with Bill – full of love, laughter and adventure.
