William “Bill” M. Davis, 83 of Centralia, passed away Thursday, March 05, 2015 at his home. Mr. Davis was born July 15, 1931 in Salem, son of Vince Davis and Mary Olive (McLaughlin) Davis.
He married Lillie Mae (Casner) Davis on July 31, 1951 and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2002. He is survived by a son, Steve Davis and special friend Toni White of Centralia; a daughter, Linda Chapman and husband Richard of Centralia; two grandchildren: Amanda Heath and Nick of Centralia and Melissa Defend and husband Ryan of Centralia; a step-grandson, Tom Chapman and wife Savana of Patoka; five grandchildren: Jorden and Ayden Heath, Lillie and Brylee Defend all of Centralia, and Beau Chapman of Patoka; a sister, Shirley Harting of Centralia; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Nadine Spenner of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister: Sue Presswood, a brother: Oliver Davis, a brother-in-law: Gerald Harting and a great-granddaughter: Alyssa Heath.
Bill was the owner of Davis Radiator Service for 60 years. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Christian Church and he was also an Elder and the Sunday School Superintendent. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his wife Lillie. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
