He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Frances Wiggins Berry; his parents, Albert Julian Berry and Ada Sessions Berry; brothers, Albert Berry and Clarence Berry; sisters, Carolyn Brown and Francis Stanik; and his grandson, Brian Baker.
