William “Bill” Kiley Zartman, 83, resident of Whiteland, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bill was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 10, 1937 to the late Walter K. and Eudora (Stephens) Zartman.
After graduating from Whiteland High School; Bill was employed in many different jobs and as a R.V. Salesman before retiring in 1999.
Bill married his wife, Darlene (Smith) Zartman on October 14, 1955. They were married for 65 years.
Bill cherished his role as a husband and loved being a father to his two children. He later gained the title of a grandfather, and found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. He could often be found outdoors in nature, fishing or golfing. Bill had a great love for food, and enjoyed eating out.. Bill and Darlene were fond of traveling the United States and Europe. He frequently enjoyed listening to inspirational music, such as Amazing Grace, What A Savior, and One Day At Time. He leaves behind warm memories and stories that will live on for a lifetime.
Bill is survived by his wife, Darlene, his two children, William “Ed” (Pam) Zartman, of Greenwood, Indiana and Jeff (Deb) Zartman, of Indianapolis, Indiana; his four grandchildren, Amber (Larry) Modlin, Stacey (Bill) Darnell, Jessica (Josh) Tuttle, and Jonathan Zartman; his eight great-grandchildren; Will, Emily, Breanna,and Reagan Darnell, Michael, Leah, Jacob Modlin and Jack Tuttle.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
