William J. (Bill) Rogers, Jr. 83, of Centralia, passed away at his home on June 22, 2015. He was born on March 13, 1932, the son of William Sr. and Hilda (Busse) Rogers. He married Judy Lordan on June 19, 1953, and she survives in Centralia.

In addition to his wife William “Bill” is survived by: one daughter; Cynthia Bierman and husband Brad of Stevens City, Virginia; one son-in-law: Ken Barnhart of Lenexa, Kansas; two sisters-in-law: Mary Carlyle of Mt. Vernon, Pat (Haney) Watson and husband Gene of Summerville, South Carolina; one brother-in-law: Pete Lordan and wife Mary of Palos Hills, Illinois; Four grandchildren: Troy Bierman, Angela Hull, Lori Heinze, and Ryan Barnhart; Five great-grandchildren: Addison and Landon Hull, Kadence and Kennady Heinze and Patrick Barnhart; thirteen nieces and nephews with a local nephew and niece Craig Rogers family and Janet Gaston.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Curtis and Wilbert; one sister Phyllis Baum; three brothers-in-law: Mickey Lordan, H.C. Haney, and Bill Carlyle; one daughter: Deborah Barnhart. Bill retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1987 after 33 years. He served in the Navy as a Radio 3rd Class aboard the USS Douglas H Fox DD779 during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the National Association of Clock and Watch Collectors, VFW, and AARP. Bill was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centralia.
