William “Bill” Hole, 84, Muncie, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born April 16, 1936 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Mahoney) Hole.
Bill was a 1954 graduate of Muncie Central High School. After graduation he would go on to proudly and honorably serve his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He was employed by Borg Warner as a machine operator for 32 years before retiring in April of 1991.
He is described by his children as being a “Good Man” who was loved by everyone who knew him and the type of man that would do anything for anyone anytime. He loved music and he loved playing his guitar in several bands throughout the years. His favorite musician may have been Merle Haggard but Bill also enjoyed listening to himself sing and rumor has it that he was even a heck of a BINGO Caller for a lot of years. Even though Bill may have had love for music, Merle Haggard and calling BINGO it couldn’t match the love he had for his late wife, Shelva, his children, grandchildren and the rest of his family. He will be missed by everyone all the time.
Left to cherish his memories are two daughters, Vadetta Line, (husband-Joe); and Violet Embry; three sons, William Hole Jr., (Barbara Hammond); Troy Hole, (wife-Christina); and Donald Hole, (wife-Dawndeena); two sisters, Betty Taylor and Rita Harris; one brother, Harold Hole; fourteen grandchildren, Shanna, Pete, Josh, Jason, Justin, Amanda, Daniel, David, Marcus, Troy, Trish, Donyale, Marissa, and Miranda; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, David Toomey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Anna Hole; his wife of 56 years, Shelva Hole; three sisters, Ferrell Toomey, Judy Thrasher and Mary Long; three brothers, Raymond Hole; Jack Hole and Gene Hole; two grandchildren, Megan and Donnie Jr.
