William “Bill” Harrison Griffis Jr., 86, of Anderson, passed away November 12, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a special man to his family and friends. He loved God and his family. He was born December 14, 1933, in Mishawaka, Indiana. He married Janet Houghton in 1954 and were married for 66 wonderful years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Janet; son, William (Kerrie) Griffis III, and Kenneth (Sharon) Griffis; daughter, Linda (Frankie St. Phillips) Griffis; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and William Griffis Sr. He worked for Indiana Bell and retired from AT&T after 42 years. He loved fishing in Canada, and loved the outdoors, westerns, and country music. He also loved wearing jeans.
