William (Bill) Haberkon 78 of Erie, Colorado passed away March 22, 2019 at his home. Born in
Brighton, Colorado July 24, 1940 to Gotlieb & Ann (Berger) Haberkon. He was married to Mary
Ann (Weber) on February 2, 1963 in Ft. Lupton, Colorado.
Bill had owned his own excavating business for 26 years and was then taken over by sons Randy
and Gary. He also built his home and shop in Erie which he lived in for 51 years. Bill enjoyed
fishing at their cabin at Big Elk Meadows. He then bought a Ranch in Conejos Colorado and farmed before retiring.
Bill is survived by his wife Mary Ann, sons Randy (Cheryl) Haberkon, Gary Haberkon; and daughter
Ronna (Freddie) Romero. Grandchildren, Steve & Jared Romero and Stephanie & Matt
Haberkon, and brother Donald Haberkon. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson,
Justin Romero and brothers, Joe, Robert, James and David Haberkon.
