William G. “Bill” Lafferty 87 of Centralia died on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
He was born on April 6, 1926 in Coulterville the son of Clarence and Nona (Robinson) Lafferty. He married Elaine Fritz on November 22, 1951, and she survives in Odin.
Mr. Lafferty is survived by two sons, James Lafferty and wife Alaina of Kansas City, MO, William Lafferty, Jr. of St. Louis; two daughters Laura McKinney & husband Ed of Centralia and Susan Trombley and husband Howard of Lancing, MI; six grandchildren Tami Wolfson, Amanda Lafferty, Amber Holcomb and husband Steven, Dana Price, Ryan Price, and Erica Lungstrom; two great grandchildren Parker Anderson and Leah Holcomb; and one brother James Lafferty of Hobart, IN.
Mr. Lafferty was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Herbert Lafferty, Clifford Lafferty, and Brady Lafferty; two sisters Celia Haas and Opal Dispendent, and one infant sister Margaret Lafferty.
Mr. Lafferty was a Veteran having served in the Army, he was an avid horseman, he raised colts and had a stud horse. He owned B & E Paint Horses.
Bill was a member of Cement Masons Local 90. Most of all Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
