William (Bill) Edward O’Neal age 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Viera on Friday, October 25, 2019.  He is survived by his partner of 40 years, Helen Hall, his children Dawn O’Neal Ebright, Eric Edward O’Neal, their mother, Linda Pipkin O’Neal, son in law Marshall Ebright and his beloved grandchildren Maleia Gabrielle Ebright and Marshall Benjamin Ebright.

Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio moving to Lakeland, Florida as a boy.  Bill grew up in Lakeland graduating from Lakeland High School then attending a year at Florida Southern College.  In 1955 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for four years touring Germany and Iceland.  While serving in the Air Force he was trained as a Dental Specialist and it was from this training that he pursued a life long career in the dental field.

After separating from the Air Force Bill moved to Miami, Florida where he began a successful career with Anderson Dental Supplies eventually relocating to North Palm Beach, Florida where he began a family and continued with Anderson Dental.  Bill left Anderson in the late 70’s to pursue his dream of owning and operating his own business.  He aggressively worked for this dream until his illness no longer allowed him.

Bill was one of the most selfless, kind hearted humans to have walked this earth.  Those who knew him loved him, he was always the life of the party…. wearing an incredible smile and his heart on his sleeve.  He wanted for nothing except for those he loved to “just enjoy”.  “Just enjoy” I can still hear him say….. For him it was the little things, a game of checkers with Marshall Benjamin or thrift shopping with Maleia.   He loved his bourbon at the end of the day (never throw out the ice!!) and his cigar.

As the pastor who last met with him said to us in words of comfort “He is now among the land of the living….he is free.  We though are in the land of the dying”.  I know he is now at peace to “just enjoy”.   In our grief and heartache of missing my father I know he is in the land of the eternal living and has been greeted with open arms and tears of joy by all those who loved him that preceded him in death.   He is no doubt “just enjoying”  the party again.

God Bless you daddy….
