William “Bill” Echols

Bill passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2016.
Bill was born in Washington D.C. and lived in Arlington, VA. He attended Washington Lee High School in Bolston, VA. Bill served in the Army during WWII as a Tech in mapping. He was part of the 2nd wave to land at Normandy Beach.
He was past President and member of Apollo Chapter of NARFE. In 1971 he married the love of his life Carolyn Patricia. They lived in Virginia and Maryland before moving to Cocoa Beach in 1981. Carolyn Born on February 16, 1928 left us June 3, 2010. Also predeceased are two sons John J. Kerr who passed away in 2014, and James W. Kerr who passed away in 1974. They are survived by their son Joseph Kerr (Patricia Griffith) a loving grandson Jonathan (Melisa) Kerr and John’s wife Joan Kerr.
