William “Bill” Charles Neasham, 89, of rural Newton died on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines.
Bill, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Kinart) Neasham, was born on March 13, 1932 in Jasper County. He was a lifelong resident of rural Newton. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. Bill was a farmer and a truck driver. He also was a Truck Driving Instructor at DMACC. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles when he was younger, and coffee time at Burger King.
Bill is survived by his children, Brenda (Les) Van Brogen of Newton and Billy (Gena) Neasham of Newton; his grandchildren, Noella (Blaine) Barker, Chase (Kayli) Van Brogen, Sophia Neasham, Jerry (Amber) Van Brogen, Sasha Paul, Landon (Julie) Deeter, and Andrea (Cory) Keller; his 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and his siblings, Ruth Rusk of Newton and Jim (Charlene) Neasham of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents and three wives, Marilyn (Davis) Neasham, Karen (Lust) Neasham, and Donna (Van Zee) Neasham.
