William “Bill” Andrew Godby, 85, passed away Wednesday, May, 17, 2017 at Saint Anthony Hospital in Lakewood. He passed peacefully with his family surrounding him with love and prayer. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jeri (Bennett) Godby; his daughters, Cindy Ellis (Danny); Leslie Pless (Mark); his sons, Billy Godby (Shereice); Gregg Robinson (Linda); nine grandchildren, Nicole Allen, William Austin Godby, Tyler Godby, Ashley Sikes, Tim Godby, Jonathan Pless, Timothy Pless, Caitlin Robinson, Lauren Robinson; eight great-grandchildren, Sophia Godby, Bella Godby, Hannah Godby, Rylie Godby, Olivia Godby, Charlee Allen, Jace Allen, Brayden Godby, and many close friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Godby; mother Nancy Godby; brother Don Godby; sister Mary Lou Smelege; son, Timothy Godby; and brother-in-law and best friend, Bob Lear. Bill was born on December 9, 1931 to William and Nancy (DelGuidice) Godby and was raised in Gamerco, New Mexico. Bill graduated from Gallup High School in 1950. He was married to Faye (Crabb) Godby in 1950. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1951 and honorably discharged in 1954. He attended New Mexico State University, graduating in 1959 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. In 1963, Bill started working for the U.S.
