William L. Beams, 71, of Omaha, NE, formerly of LaSalle, passed away June 6, 2018 in Omaha, NE. Mr. Beams was born October 17, 1946 in Camelsville, KY, to William E. and Nannie (Skaggs) Beams. He served in the US Army during Vietnam was a Bronze Star recipient among numerous awards. He married Gail Sue Hancock, September 1970. She passed away May 29, 2015.
He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He is survived by his children, William (Diane) Jensen of Algonquin, Katrina (Robert) Taylor of Rockford and Lynette (Kevin) Sportsman of Omaha, NE, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a brother Floyd (Pearl) Beams of Utica. He was preceded in death by his wife Gail, a son Kevin, a daughter Karen, and a sister Tina Justine Nelson.
