William Arthur Zitzka, age 58, of Rensselaer passed away unexpectedly December 29, 2016 at Methodist Hospital Southlake Campus in Merrillville, Indiana. William was born in Hinsdale, Illinois on August 7, 1958, the son of Patricia (Newsome) and Arthur Walter Zitzka. He was raised in Hinsdale, graduating from Hinsdale High School with the Class of 1976. William continued his education, receiving his degree in Engineering and was self-employed.
He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Rensselaer. William was a member of the Hinsdale Central football state championship team. He loved everything about the game of football and once attempted to be a walk on player with the Chicago Bears football team. On December 28, 2013, in Rensselaer, Indiana William married Eileen Tracy Pincsak.
Surviving is his loving family, wife Tracy Zitzka of Rensselaer, daughters Christine (Jeff) Lassiter of Rensselaer and Jamie (David) Steinbring of Plainfield, Illinois, seven grandchildren Jared, Jocelyn, Kayden, Rylee, Taylor, Victoria and Jonathon and twin great-grandchildren Ella and Karter. Also surviving is one brother, Jim (Dawn) Zitzka of Morocco, Indiana, two sisters Kathy (Stan) Niew of Burr Ridge, Illinois and Sandra Sapirito; his in-laws Gene and Deanne Pincsak of Rensselaer and his beloved Yorkie puppies Zeus and Bentley. William was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one sister.
