William Alan Holmes, 59, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Indianapolis.
William was born on July 5, 1962 in New Castle, Indiana to Dottie (Dipple) Holmes and the late Earl Holmes.
William proudly served in the United States Armed Forces. He was a loving father and a wonderful grandfather. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Along with creating memories with his loved ones, William enjoyed completing word search puzzles, cooking, canning, and gardening.
William is survived by his five children, Brittney (Josh) Hanson of Whiteland, IN, Belinda Holmes of Oklahoma, Alan Christopher Holmes of Oklahoma, Westly (Christina) Nealis of Pennsylvania, and Leann (Jeremey) Nealis of Ohio; his 22 grandchildren; his mother, Dottie Holmes of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Dorothy Holmes, Kenny Holmes, Gary (Jenny) Holmes, Patricia Lema, Danny (Cynthia) Holmes, Sharon Smith, Debbie (Mike) Barnes, and Bob (Teresa) Holmes.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Holmes, and his father, Earl Holmes.
