William A. Stout, Sr., 98, of Glen Burnie passed away on May 21, 2014. William was born on December 18, 1915 at Johns Hopkins Hospital to Helen Lillian Rada and Andrew Jackson Stout. He was raised in Northeast Baltimore. William worked for Acme Foodstore and the Chevrolet plant. Thereafter he became a Merchant Marine and was shipped out to sea through World War II. In 1948, William married Violet Smith. He was a supervisor at Bugle Laundry for 48 years and after that, at the age of 68, he went onto college and became a realtor. William enjoyed woodworking, making crafts, and being the devoted caretaker for his wife Violet until she passed away in 2005. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Patrick L. Stout. He is survived by three children, Gary R. Stout and his wife Donna, E. Jacqueline MacKenzie, and William A. Stout, Jr. and his wife Pauline; nine grandchildren, Laura Stout, Eric Stout, Sarah Stout, Phillip J. Stankovic, Sharon M. Stankovic, Lisa D. Drouillard and husband Donald, Karen A. Stout, William A. Stout, III and wife Patricia, and Kathleen E. Yetter and her husband, Robert; seven great-grandchildren, Alivia M. Drouillard, Shannon N. Stout, William A. Stout, IV, Sydney C. Stout, Brendan R. Yetter, Michael W. Yetter and Gavin C. Yetter; his close friend Becky and his beloved dog, Maggie.
