William A. Miller, 81, of Ottawa, died Wednesday morning, November 22, at St. Margarets Hospital in Spring Valley. He had been a resident of the Veterans Home in LaSalle. Mr. Miller was born April 4, 1925, in Peru to William B. and Marie (Pra) Miller. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He married Mary L. Mettille on June 16, 1949, at St. Patrick Church in Ottawa. She died on December 14, 1974. He was a member of St. Columba Church in Ottawa.
He is survived by a daughter, Valerie Brockman of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Rick Burrows Jr. and Lindsey Brockman ; three brothers, Joseph (Verna) Miller of Ottawa, Harold Miller of Bishop and Carl (Dena) Miller both of California. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
