William Allen Gilbert, also known as Bill, was born in Tennessee 09/01/1944. He moved to California as a young child, later graduating from San Diego High School in the 1960’s. In his early adulthood Bill moved to Seattle WA to work for Boeing Aerospace Company, but eventually moved back California where he met and married his wife Wanda. Throughout his career he worked for Grey Hound Bus Company in Northern California, but spent the last 20+ years of his career as a Chauffeur where he met and became close to some of the greats like Junior Seau.
Bill will always be remembered for his green eyes, big bright smile, and his passion to encourage others. He was a devoted husband,father, grandpa, and bestfriend. As we lay his body to rest his soul will reunite with his sons Alton & Darren, and his siblings Ricky & Barbara “Bitsy”. His family and friends will rest easily knowing that he will walk besides every day, unseen, unheard, but always there.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Wanda Gilbert, daughters Gillian & Tammy, two stepsons Eddie and Oby, and a abundance of beautiful grandchildren.
We love you, miss you, and will see you again.”
