William A. Florio, age 80, of Milford, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in West Haven. William, the son of Nathan and Lena (Giordano) Florio, was born on April 6, 1934. He is the father of Mark (Sherry) Florio, Sr. Lisa Florio ASCJ, and Jodi (James) Maltese, and the former husband of Josephine (Amarone) Burick. He loved his grandchildren Mark (Monica) Florio, Christopher (Christine) Florio, Amy Florio, James (Kristin) Maltese, Joseph Maltese, and Michelena (Jordan) Murray. William felt privileged to be the great-grandfather of Angelina, Briella, Jaxon, and Giovanni. He is also survived by his dear brother John Florio For over 50 years, he was a member of the Teamsters Tristate Local 443. One of his passions was gardening.
