Born in Paterson to the late William Cavalier, Sr. and Joan Cavalier, he spent his childhood in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. He graduated high school in 1970 and then went on to Seton Hall University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Bill taught 6th grade for several years at Dunfee Elementary School in Barnegat. Once settling down in Toms River, N.J. he taught religious education classes at St. Bonaventure Church (presently known as St. Pio of Pietrelcina) in Lavallette where he met and married his wife Kimberly.
