William A. “Bill” Kenipe, 80, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 28, 1934, in Indianapolis to the late Jennings and Goldie (Ottinger) Kenipe.
Bill graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1997. He enjoyed fishing, racing, and sports of all kinds.
Bill is survived by his wife Jane (Kostielney) Kenipe whom he married June 22, 1963, in Indianapolis; children: Scott (Tina Gullion) Kenipe of Anderson; Lisa M. (Gary) Lawyer of Shirley; Angela (Bill) West of Ingalls; Shelley (Tim) Scruggs of Fortville; Holly Pemberton of Fortville; Heather (Ben) Hunter of Fishers; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings: Don (Marilyn) Kenipe of Pierceton, Betty Barnes of Indianapolis, Kenneth (Joan) Kenipe of Indianapolis, Robert “Bob” (Jeanine) Kenipe of Monrovia and Mary (Clarence) Merriman of Whiteland.
He was preceded in death by siblings: Jennings Kenipe, Jr., Thelma Craig, Judy O’Neil and Pauline Tex.
