Ms. Willette “Wee-Wee” Elizabeth Steele, 73, of 1654 Carthage Lane, died on Monday, September 30, 2013 at her residence.
Willette was born July 4, 1940 to the late Rosie Lee an Emmett Steele, Sr. in High Point. She was one of seven children, the second eldest with her twin brother, Willis. Willette attended school in the Guilford County School System. She lived and worked as a Laundromat attendant in Greensboro for a couple of years before returning to High Point and working as a housekeeper and childcare provider in area homes where she was loved and respected. She was a lifetime member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church where she worked in the kitchen diligently as well as a Sunday School teacher, missionary and prayer group member.
A loving mother survived by son, Anthony Steele; daughter, Linda Steele Terry; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren all of whom she provided constant love and support; step father, Earnest Holley, Jr.; and aunt Ida Hinton Brannon.
