Willa M. (Weideman) Faris, 95 years of age, of Omaha passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She was born on October 25, 1925 in Beatrice to Louis and Lorraine (Walker) Weideman and after the unexpected death of her father, was raised by her mother and step-father, Rev. Clifford Weideman. Willa graduated from Wilber High School in 1944. She married Bill Faris on January 27, 1945 in Grand Island. Willa lived in several places including California, Kentucky and Beatrice before moving to Omaha in 2005. She enjoyed working at the Beatrice State Developmental Center for 13 years retiring in 1990. Willa was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beatrice and a current member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Omaha. She enjoyed genealogy, traveling to Israel and her dog, Fidel.
Willa is survived by her daughter, Barbara Boltinghouse of Omaha; grandchildren, Monty Boltinghouse and wife Jackie of Houston, Patrick Faris and husband Brian of Hawaii, Elizabeth Buresh and husband Nathan of Omaha; great grandchildren, Abigail, Nathan, Emma and Zach; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father; husband, Bill Faris; son, Daniel Faris; brothers, Sonny Weideman, David Weideman; and sister, Cheryll Weideman.
