Wilfred G. (Bill) Sliby, 64, of New Haven, passed away on August 13, 2008 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in New Haven on June 20, 1944 a son of the late Wilfred F. (Jack) and Ruth Eaton Sliby. Mr. Sliby is survived by his 2 sons, Gary Sliby of Palm Coast, FL and Daniel Sliby, his wife Renee and their daughter Dana of New Hartford, CT ; 2 sisters, Jacqueline Pilato of West Haven and Joanne Balletto and her husband Dom (Panch) of New Haven and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Bill is his best friend and former spouse Sandie Beatificato of East Haven. Bill served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Blandy (DD943). Prior to his illness he was employed in the Purchasing Dept.
