Wilfred “Bill” Venet, 83, of Manchester Twp., NJ passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, at home. Born in Bronx, NY to Luis and Louisa Venet, Bill was a longtime resident of Manchester.
He began his career as a Union Electrician in New York City. After moving to Ocean County, he started his own company, Bullet Electric. He later became an Electrical Inspector for Ocean County, retiring after 25 years. Following his retirement, Bill volunteered with the Catholic Charities Fix It Program and also the Ocean County Parks Department.
Bill was a racquetball player, loved racing hobie cats, and was an avid bike rider.
Bill was predeceased by his son, Steven Venet.
He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Phillips) Venet, his children Wilfred Venet and his wife Joan, Anthony Venet, Jennifer Zazzara, and Jaime Zazzara, a brother Luis Venet and his wife Donna, a sister Elaine Hammond, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
