Rev. Wiley Elton Zinn, 61, of Belton. Rev. Zinn died Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home in Belton. Belton— Funeral services for Rev. Wiley Elton Zinn, 61, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Callaway and Rev. Randy Latch officiating. Burial will follow at the Moffat Cemetery with Rev. Norman Green officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday evening from 5-7:30 PM at the Funeral Home.
Rev. Zinn died Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home in Belton. Rev. Zinn surrendered to the ministry at the age of 16 and graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri and the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Wiley committed his life to the ministry both as a Baptist Minister and musician for over 40 years. He had a passion for leading the lost to Christ and for singing His praises. Wiley also was a part of two quartets- The Wildwood Quartet and The Watchmen Quartet for numerous years. He served in churches in the Missouri area, as well as, throughout Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Vance Zinn and two sisters, Judy and Jeannie Zinn. Survivors include his wife Debbie Zinn, their children Ary (John)Franklin, Jon (Jenny) Zinn and Laura Zinn, and by his grandchildren Mary Grace, Van and Jack; his mother Nell Zinn and two sisters Joy (Jay) Duncan and Kathy (Fred) Phillips and by numerous family, friends and parishioners. He is also survived by his nephew, Kevin (Noonay) Byrne and his niece Meghan Bryne.
