Wilden Waite Moffett, 75, beloved husband, father, and grandfather peacefully passed from his mortal existence on January 8, 2013. His family had the great blessing of surrounding his bedside during his final days upon this earth. He was born at the family farm house in View, Idaho to David Sylvester and Vera Waite Moffett. Wilden attended school in Burley, Idaho where he learned to love music and excelled at the clarinet.
While attending Rick’s College Wilden met his eternal companion, Marjorie Lee Kent. They were married in the Idaho Falls temple on January 23, 1958. Following their wedding, Wilden completed his education as an Architect at Idaho State, and then moved their family to Ogden, Utah. Most of his career was spent working as the Regional Architect for the US Forest Service. He loved his work and spoke fondly of many memories with co-workers and projects.
His greatest pleasure came in serving his family, friends, and community. He loved the Savior and constantly demonstrated that through his endless service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He faithfully magnified every calling held and served in many capacities, including Bishop and counselor in the Stake Presidency.
He dedicated many years to Scouting, and was presented the Silver Beaver, the highest award offered to scout leaders.
Wilden was adventurous and loved being in the mountains. We cherish the family traditions he created of annual backpacking trips and family vacations. Family always came first, and the memories created on these outings will be remembered forever.
Wilden is survived by his wife, Marjorie, his sons Ardel (Lei Lani), Boyd (Josie), Kerry (Natalie), Terrell (Christeena), Neil (Amber), Ryan (Melanie), daughters Tonya (David) Slaughter, Krystal (Jake) Pruitt, 38 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Junia Gibby. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Max and Don.
