Martinsburg, WV – Wilda Jean Crookshank, 85, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 carried by Angels to the Arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
She was born on February 4, 1935 in Samples Manor, Maryland to the late Thomas Howell and Laura Ethel Giffin Grim.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Robert Lee Crookshank on August 14, 1996.
Wilda was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD. She graduated from the Nursing Program at the Career Studies Center in Hagerstown, MD where she received her LPN in 1981.
She was employed by Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home in Boonsboro, MD until her retirement. She previously worked at various nursing homes in Washington County, Maryland.
Wilda was a lifelong member of Samples Manor Church of God in Samples Manor, MD. She also attended Hagerstown Bible Church when she lived in Hagerstown, MD.
She was a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for many years. She supported the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. She also supported various Veteran’s Organizations.
She is survived by her daughter Robin L. Hanes and her husband Jeff of Sharpsburg, MD; daughter Jacqueline Y. Beard and her husband John of Martinsburg, WV; daughter Laura P. Harker of Falling Waters, WV; son R. Blaine Crookshank of WV; sister Betty L. Kline of Samples Manor, MD; granddaughter Patty A. Kelly and her husband Shawn; granddaughter Becky L. Campbell and her husband Scott; great grandchildren Emily M. Kelly and Dawson J. Kelly; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son in law R. Lee Harker; sisters Bertha E. Bussard, Theda V. Monninger, and Velma E. Cavender; brothers Gerald L. Grim and Fonrose M. Grimm.
