Wilbur Ray “Butch” Swank, 86, of Ocala, Florida passed away at home on October 2, 2013 surrounded by his family, following an illness. Butch was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on September 24, 1927, to David and Hattie Swank. He was a graduate of Arthurdale High School, Fairmont State College and West Virginia University, and served in the U.S. Army, during World War II. Butch married Glenna Holmes of Reedsville, WV in 1952. He had a long career in education in West Virginia. Butch and Glenna retired to Ocala in 1985. He continued to bowl until one day before his 86th birthday. Surviving are his loving wife of sixty-one years, Glenna Holmes Swank, of Ocala; daughters Debra Swank and Tracy Fox of WV; Cynthia Blakley of GA; grandchildren Tamara Bailey; Bambi Frazier; Shelley Powell, Carrie Moffitt, Adam Blakley; Jenna Blakley; Deena Heckler, Scott Fox; and great-grandchildren Kyatt, Darby, Derek, Yazmin, Racquel, Serena, Frances, Oliver, Jesse, Elijah and Jase.
