Wilbur Ray Johnson, 80, Greenwood, passed away September 5, 2014. He was born November 7,1933 in Indianapolis to the late Herman and Julia (Willoughby) Johnson. Ray married Fanetta “Faye” (Schrougham) Johnson on November 6, 1954 in Brown County, IN. After 59 years of marriage she preceded him in death on February 3, 2014.  Ray is survived by daughters Rene (Kerry) Lowdermilk, Debra (Jeff) Shepherd, Kim (Ray) Irvin, Lori (Rich) Woehlke; son J Todd (Brandy) Johnson; sister Arthella Manning; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Other surviving family members include Pete (Doris) Schrougham, Eva (Floyd) Ford, Max (Veda) Schrougham and Edna Schrougham. He was also preceded in passing by a brother Alvin Johnson. Ray was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post 252, Greenwood V.F.W. Post 5864 and an avid IU basketball and Colts football fan. Ray was employed as a PBX repairman with Indiana Bell Telephone for 32 years, retiring in 1985. After retiring he started D & R Phones and Johnson’s Farm Market.
