Wilbur R. ‘Bill’ Eriksen, 88

Latham Wilbur R. ‘Bill’ Eriksen, 88, died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at his home after a brief illness.

Born in Brooklyn, he was son of the late George W. and Amy Halborg Eriksen and husband for 66 years of Judith Roholt Eriksen.

He had resided in Latham for the past five years and was a graduate of Brooklyn Tech and graduated as a mechanical engineer from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute in 1938.

Mr. Eriksen was a mechanical engineer with York Corporation from 1938-1939 and Chief Engineer with the George A. Fuller Company in New York City from 1950-1967. He was Vice President of Cushman and Wakefield Inc. from 1967-1973. In 1974, Bill founded Construction Consultants Associates in Newport Beach, CA ane Mechmetals Corporation in El Segundo, CA.

He was also an instructor at New York University from 46-53 and at Brooklyn Polytechnic from 42-46. He was a member of the Board of Regents at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and was inducted into Who’s Who in the West in 1972.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Laurie Anderson (James) of Latham; a son, Phillip Eriksen (Elizabeth) of Monarch Beach, CA.; a sister, Margaret Tonnesen of Florida; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
