Wilbur Kyle Stanley, Jr., (George) 69 of Ridgeway, VA died Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Hospice Center, Port Orange, FL. Born in Martinsville, August 17, 1941, he was a son of Nellie Mae Morrison Stanley and the late Wilbur Kyle Stanley, Sr. Wilbur was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas Stanley, Charles Stanley and Jimmy Stanley. Mr. Stanley had served in the United States Army in Korea and later in the National Guard for 8 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a truck driver before becoming disabled. Surviving in addition to his mother of the home is a son, Trampus Stanley of Mayodan, NC; three stepsons, Mike Rakes of Sandy Ridge, NC, Steve Rakes and JoJo Rakes both of Horsepasture; four sisters, Geneva S. Brodie of Figsboro, Marie S. Vontour of Ridgeway, Connie S. Nance of Sandy Ridge, NC and Jane S. Raymond of Eden, NC; a brother, John David Stanley of Ridgeway and a granddaughter, Sarah Stanley of Mayodan, NC.
