Wilbur F. Nonnemacher, 79, of Bethlehem, died on August 19, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Mehrkam) Nonnemacher with whom he shared over 58 years of loving marriage. Born on March 19, 1943 in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Alvin and Caroline (Matthews) Nonnemacher.
Wilbur worked as a supervisor for UPS for over 27 years. Later he worked as a custodial engineer for 10 years at Bethlehem Catholic High School. He served as president of the North End Wanderers for 20 years and past president of the Bethlehem Raiders. Wilbur was also a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem. He honorably served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Wilbur was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
Survivors: Wilbur will be lovingly remembered by his wife Phyllis; sons, Jeffrey Nonnemacher (Barbara) of Bethlehem, and William Nonnemacher (Doreen) of Palmerton; grandchildren, Autumn, Morgan, William, and Rachel; sister, Honey Zueno. He was predeceased by 4 brothers.
