Wilbert Dotson, 59, of Galesburg, died on Monday, October 10, 2016, 7:05 AM, at his home in Galesburg.
Wilbert was born on March 21, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Donald and Emily (Baysac) Dotson. Wilbert is survived by the love of his life, Karlette Bradford of Galesburg; two sons, Briant Dotson, of St. Louis, MO, and Cornell Dotson, of Galesburg; three daughters, Chamese Dotson, Nika Bradford, and Letiya Bradford, all of Galesburg; a brother, Ronald Dotson, of Tampa, FL; a sister, Evelyn Dotson, of Chicago; four granddaughters, Demiylah Gooden, Kayliyah Nelson, Laniyah Bradford, Laziyah Myers, all of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Glenn Dotson, and Donald Dotson; and a sister, Susanne Dotson.
Wilbert was a veteran of the US Air Force. He worked at Derby Industries for the last four years as a laborer. Wilbert loved to tell jokes and stories, he loved to read and listen to music. He was a sports fanatic and interested in anything pertaining to history. Most of all, Wilbert loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Wilbert was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
