Wilber Edgar Witmer, 88, of Elkhart, died at 4 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 18, 2007) in Valley View Health Care Center.
He was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Newaygo County, Mich., to Edgar and Lydia (Strawser) Witmer.
He is survived by a daughter, Julia A. Witmer of Elkhart; a son, Robert E. “Bob” Witmer of Elkhart; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
