MAYS LICK Wesley Wyatt Newell , 73, of May’s Lick, KY passed away Thursday at his home. Wesley was born Feb. 28th, 1943 in Richton, MS to Wesley Newell (deceased) and Ellowease Shows Newell, residing in Carriere, MS.
He served in the U.S. Air Force before obtaining a Bachelor Degree of Science in Construction Management from Hill University, utilizing it as an Industrial Construction Manager until he retired in 2013.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Ann Newell, and his children – Lisa (Darren) Locke of Temecula, CA, Troy (Erin) Newell of Seabrook, TX, Kim Newell of Dickinson, TX and Cadence, who stills resides at home. Brothers and sisters he leaves behind are Harland (Cindy) Newell of Carriere, MS, Billy (Billie Jo) Newell of Petal, MS, Linda (Frank) Meadows of Poplarville, MS, and Helen (Jack) Smith of Orange Beach, AL, remember him fondly as well. He is also survived by five grandchildren – Brandon, Brittany, Ashley, Heather and Amanda, two great-grandchildren – Emma and Bradely, and numerous family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
