Wesley R. Burgess, 73 of Milford, CT, beloved husband of Marjorie Hughes Burgess, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Born on April 5, 1941 in Beverly, MA, he was the son of the late Alice (Kippy) Burgess and Walter Burgess Sr. and grew up in Manchester by the Sea, MA. In addition to his wife, Marjorie, Wes is survived by his five step-children, Lisa Hughes Arpaia and her husband Russell of Woodbridge, CT., Carolyn Hughes of Middletown, CT., Robert Hughes of Guilford, CT., Scott Hughes and his wife Marashane of Trumbull, CT., Douglas Hughes and his wife Jennifer of Madison, CT., and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Cara O’Malley and Juliette Lafreniere of Manchester by the Sea, MA., Walter (Bucky) Burgess and his wife Joni and Russell Burgess and his wife Sandy of Beverly, MA and Melinda Burgess of Tucson, AZ and seven nieces.
Wes was a graduate of Essex County Vocational Technical High School in 1964.
