Wesley Clifford Locke, age 87, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family at his home in Green Forest, Arkansas on Sunday, November 2, 2014. Born October 14, 1927, in Belt, Montana, to Merritt and Effie (Farmer) Locke, Wesley was one of 13 children. He worked in construction (specializing in concrete work) for 66 years and served in the U.S. Army during the 1940’s. Although Wes loved to spend time traveling, fishing, gardening, and working in his yard; his greatest joys were helping others and spending time with his family who he loved very much. His beloved nickname for those he held dear was “punkin” and he never missed a chance to say “gimme a hug.” Wes was a devout Christian and attended Harvest Assembly in Oak Grove. His favorite saying was “Every day’s a good day, praise the Lord”. Wesley was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Hoyer Locke, one daughter, Renee Dolyne Weisler, and one grandchild Amanda Walker Aucoin. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Margaret (Gordon) Locke; three children: Sherryl Walker and husband Greg of Kirbyville, MO, Colleen Taylor and husband Rody of Great Falls, MT, Tim Locke and wife Pam of Great Falls, MT, son-in-law, Hank Weisler of Blue Eye MO; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by five stepchildren: Johnny Gordon and wife Linda of Oak Grove, Tony Gordon and wife Lana of Eureka Springs, Richard Gordon and wife Lesa of Alpena, Linda Skinner and husband David of Springdale, and Lisa Krumwiede and husband Ken of Centerton; 10 step-grandchildren, and 22 step great grandchildren.
