Werner Herbert Burstein, 74, of Plymouth passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 13, 2021. He was married to Grace (O’Donnell) Burstein for 50 loving years. Born in Purkwand, Germany on April 27, 1947, to the late Martha & Waldemar Burstein. He was educated at Boston Latin School and Boston English and was a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He grew up in Germany and South Boston and resided in Bridgewater before retiring to White Horse Beach in Plymouth after a long career as a pharmacist. Werner was always family first, unselfish, gracious and generous. Werner enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his home on the water on White Horse Beach. An enthusiastic traveler of Europe and the National Parks with both his family and friends. He was also a history buff, chess master and baseball coach. When not being a passionate fan at his grandchildren’s sporting events, Werner enjoyed golfing, skiing, sketching, and recently dabbled in cooking. Werner was the father of three children , Gregory Burstein and his wife Sara, Daniel Burstein and his wife Michelle and Bridget Trimble and her husband Kevin. He was the loving grandfather to eight cherished grandchildren, Carly, Teddy & Paddy Burstein, John, William & Margaret Burstein, and Colin & Michael Trimble.
