Wendy K. Fernandez Segovia was born on Jan 10, 1960, in Corpus Christi, TX to her loving parents Joe “Pop” Fernandez and Julia “Mom” Saucedo Fernandez. She grew up with her large family of eight siblings, including her sisters Linda and Mary Alice and her brothers, Richard, Bobby, Edward, Michael, and Bill.
In 1978, Wendy fell in love and married Marcos Segovia, who would remain by her side for the next 44 years. Two years after they married, they were blessed by their first of two children. Katryna in 1980 followed by Joshua in 1982. Wendy delighted in watching her children grow and start families of their own. In 2013, Katryna married Steve Trombetta and had three children who called Wendy “Gammy” and loved her as much as she loved them. It was also in 2013 that Joshua married the love of his life, Erin Elmore.
Intelligent, fierce, and often hilarious, Wendy’s adventures in life took her across Texas and the east coast before landing in Westminster, Maryland. It was there, in her dream house, where she passed quietly on January 3rd, 2022.
