WINSTED – REYNOLDS – Wendy Ann Reynolds, 53, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was born December 16, 1967 in Fort Benning, Georgia; the daughter of Donna (Gemetro) Wills of Winsted and John Wills and companion, Cathy Robbins of Tolland, MA. Wendy graduated from The Gilbert School and attended N.C.C.C. She worked as a compassionate CNA utilizing her caring, kind nature to help others. She always put everyone first and remained her cheerful, upbeat self throughout all her struggles. She even continued to be positive on her bad days and joke with doctors and nurses to make their days. Wendy loved baking, traveling especially to Hilton Head and spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She was known as the “Cool” mom to all the neighborhood kids. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery and was skilled at just about every craft she tried. She also was a Bunco queen, participated in many Warrior Dash obstacle races, loved zip lining and trips to the casino. She was so special and had such an adventurous spirit and zest for life. Wendy lived her life as an example to all with strong morals that never wavered and helping people less capable than herself. In addition to her devoted parents, she leaves her cherished sons, Kyle Reynolds and fiancé Michelle Thomas of Alaska and Dylan Reynolds of Winsted; two beloved grandchildren, Emersyn Ann Reynolds and Walker Robert Reynolds of Alaska; a close sister, April Thomsen and husband Brian of New Hartford; two nephews, Will and Jake Thomsen; and many close aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. She was predeceased by her mom’s companion, James A. Gouthro.
