Wendell H. “Pete” Peace was born on June 8, 1941 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Henry Clark and Julia Fuson Peace. He departed this life on September 7, 2012 in Decatur, AL do to an extended illness.
He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Army from 1961 to 1967. He was a construction worker and a life long avid fisherman. He was a member of Mount Eagle Baptist Tabernacle.
Wendell was preceded in death by his parents; the Rev. Henry C. Peace and Julia Fuson Peace; siblings, Viola Wilson , Mildred Lawson, Clifford Peace, Lillie Roesch, Euless (Buddy) Peace, Alma-gene (Deana) Nunn , Maxine Peace, and Christine Turner.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Oneda Peace of Decatur AL; his children, David and Robin Godsey of Decatur, AL., Anthony and Amy Godsey of Oak Harbor, WA, Gerri L. Peace, Bradley and Christina Peace of Shelbyville, TN; His grandchildren, Bobby Pitts, Adam Pitts, Cody Godsey, Ashelynn Pitts, Bradley J.
