Weldon Arthur Higgerson, 75
Weldon Arthur Higgerson, 75, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 27, at Fort Walton Beach Medical center after a brief illness. Mr. Higgerson was born in New Madrid, Missouri. He was raised and educated in that area and was a graduate of East Prarie High School.
Weldon served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After the war, he worked for General Motors in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Maintenance Manager. After retiring from General Motors in 1985, he moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL, at which time he opened an Antique Shop. Weldon retired from the antique business several years ago.
He is survived by 2 brothers; John Higgerson and wife Peggy of Niceville, FL, Frankie Higgerson and wife Liz of Sugar Tree, MO, 4 sisters; June Miller of Des Arc, MO, Norma Lee Wilson of Zeigler, IL, Mary Jo Julian of Evansville, IN, Alice Faye Powers and husband John of Indianapolis, IN, as well as many nieces and nephews.
