Wayne Robert Nelson, age 67, died on September 27, 2018 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth following a brief illness. Born in Boston, MA on May 18, 1951, he was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Grace (Brown) (Nelson) Anderson. He was educated in Plymouth and attended Plymouth Carver High School. He entered the US Army and honorably served from Jan.3, 1977 to Dec. 17, 1979. For most of his life Wayne had worked in the HVAC industry. He retired in 2010. Wayne enjoyed riding his motorcycle as one of his favorite hobbies. He was a member of the Manomet Mystery Riders. He also was an avid reader. He enjoyed reading Sci-Fi books and was a Star Trek fan. He also loved to tinker about, fixing items that needed attention. Wayne was a music enthusiast and liked watching various movies. Most importantly Wayne will be missed by the many lives he touched throughout the years. Wayne was the life partner to Ann Bennett of Plymouth and the loving father of Rachelle Nelson of Miller Falls, MA. He was the beloved brother of George Nelson and his wife Darlene of Shelby, NC, Charles Pugsley and his wife Rosita of Stafford, VA, Emma H. Anderson and her partner Seth of Plymouth and Sarah Anderson of Plymouth. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce Nelson.
