Wayne Pool, 91, of Littleton, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on July 24, 1928. He moved from Arkansas to Wichita, Kansas with his parents, Ernest and Mabel Pool and brother Vernon. He finished his schooling then met and married Alene Wist on June 26, 1948. Two children followed, Mike and Ron.
They moved, as a family, to Englewood, Colorado in the early 1960s where Wayne went into business with an old friend to form Alderman and Pool Tool and Die, which they ran for many years.
Wayne and his sons went on to begin the Pool Machine Company. After Wayne’s retirement he worked part-time for some friends in the Tool and Die business; but a short time later he had a couple of strokes that ended his working years.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and both of his sons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alene, his grandchildren: Mike (Ashley) Pool, Mandy (Nate) Barbour, Lindsey (Jaime) Sieck, Ryan (Amy) Pool, Steve (Ashley) Pool, Krista (Nick) Baker and his daughter-in-law, Lori Pool.
Wayne is also survived by his thirteen great-grandchildren: Ben Barbour, Jake Barbour, Annie Barbour, Brody Sieck, Eli Sieck, Lily Sieck, Maverick Pool, Marshall Pool, Mason Pool, Adalee Pool, Lainey Pool, Cody Pool and Wesley Pool, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
