Wayne Medlin, 77, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 in Seguin, Texas.

Wayne was born on August 31, 1943 in Kannapolis, North Carolina to Curtis and Zelma (Black) Medlin. He was the founder and owner of Descon Construction in McAllen, Texas.

Most people would agree that Wayne’s most outstanding trait was working hard at whatever he did. He was smart, had a teasing sense of humor, and loved his wife Mae, his daughters, and grandchildren above all. He was willing and able to teach anyone anything about construction and mechanical work despite having a ninth grade education. His many hobbies and interests included fishing, hunting, NASCAR, classic sports cars, raising cattle, attending sporting events, and traveling.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Steve Medlin (Judy); his five daughters, Kay Hasson (Marshall), Tammy Nelson (Eric), Tammye Edna Medlin, Gina Kufrovich (Patrick), Jeri Ann Clouse (Chuck); his grandchildren, Justin Hasson, Heather Hasson, Jeffery Nelson (Shanna), Austin Kufrovich, Kelly Nelson, Eva Clouse, and Wayne Clouse; as well as his great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Medlin; his parents, Curtis and Zelma Medlin; and his sister, Barbara.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards Joyce Mitchell for her friendship and dedication the last few years.
